As you may know we are lucky to be in the most northerly Dark Sky Park in the world! #darkskies We continue to be part of the Cairngorms - Tomintoul and Glenlivet Dark Sky Group along with volunteers from the Cairngorms Astronomy Group, and members of Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust and Cairngorms National Park.

We aim to continue to improve the area for events to attract more visitors during the darker months of the year.  As part of this we are requesting Planning Permission to build a wooden stockade at Tomintoul Gateway.  This will provide a piece of infrastructure that will act as a barrier to car headlights and provide shelter making it a better location from which to see the stunning star displays and the northern lights.
