Glenlivet Estate 2050 - Join the Conversation

Glenlivet 2050

Crown Estate Scotland has revealed its plans for a series of community conversation events, under the banner of its recently announced Glenlivet Estate 2050 project, which will enable people who live, work, or have an interest in the Glenlivet Estate to contribute their ideas for the future development of the area.

The programme includes a pair of community drop-in sessions, which are open to everyone and need no prior booking, as well as more targeted meetings with groups such as local farmers, businesses, special interest groups and national bodies.

The insights and suggestions gathered will assist Crown Estate Scotland in creating a long-term plan for the Glenlivet Estate. The project will also help deliver priorities identified in the new Cairngorms National Park Partnership Plan.

The two public events are as follows:

8 September, 12pm – 6pm, Richmond Memorial Hall, The Square, Tomintoul, Ballindalloch, AB37 9ET

27 September, 12pm – 6pm, Glenlivet Public Hall, Bridgend of Glenlivet, Ballindalloch, AB37 9BX

In addition, a digital exhibition for those unable to attend in-person will be available from 5 September until 10 October, and will be accessible using the following glenlivetestate2050.exhibition.app/

Oster Milambo, Crown Estate Scotland’s Director of Property, said: “We want to understand what the people who live and work here are looking for over the coming years, so we can create a plan which reflects what they care about most.

“Crown Estate Scotland is committed to creating great places and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be involved in developing plans and shaping the future for their area.

“In the last year, we’ve led projects like this on our rural estates, all with the aim of planning for the future in a way that puts the priorities of local people first.”

Crown Estate Scotland is pleased to be working in partnership with Cairngorms National Park Authority, Moray Council, and Highlands and Islands Enterprise to deliver this project, ensuring that local development and land management are considered in a coherent way.
